MICHAEL SIMS

CLUB: Trevallyn, TAS

OCCUPATION: Bookkeeper/Accountant

AEROBOWLS USED:

  • Aero Evolve (All surfaces, green speeds up to 15)
  • Aero Dynamic (All surfaces, green speeds 15 and above)

WHY DO YOU USE AEROBOWLS? The consistency of the product, whether it be a narrow or wide drawing bowl, is incredible! The wide range of sizes, grips and trajectories allows you to find the perfect bowls for any conditions.

CAREER GOALS: I’ll answer this in two parts:

  1. In bowls I’ve always had the desire and the drive to hold the record for the most amount of games played for Tasmania in the Men’s team. I am very passionate about our state and would take great pride in being the games record holder.
  2. My personal goals are simply to try and better myself every day in some way, whether that be health and well-being or expanding my knowledge – there’s always something to learn. Major goals include buying my first house and financially setting myself up for the future.

MOST ADMIRED PLAYER: Nathan Rice – He was kind enough to play with me in a social pairs event at Helensvale back when I was a young kid on holiday and it’s something I’ve never forgotten. One of the most consistent players I’ve seen in any format and he’s an even better bloke. What more could you ask for.

FAVOURITE GREENS: Not sure I can say one green above all others but any of the greens at Lockley’s Bowling Club (SA) or Broadbeach Bowls Club (QLD) are favourites of mine.

FAVOURITE QUOTE: “It doesn’t have to be your day, but it can be your moment”
